Thai travel diary 14

it’s been a long time since the last episode of the diary, those who enjoyed reading my adventure please forgive me…

meanwhile I had some difficult and demanding trainings with Mr. Poo; his method supposes a great physical force, both on the client’s side and the one who gives the massage;

I started to like Buddhist hymns I read in the morning and at the end of the classes; the most difficult part was the position, after finishing the singing, I had to move the sole with my hand, that terrible the pain was in the toes

at this time, I believe that this is the best method to get an efficient initial unlocking, at physical and energetic level; I say initial because at a first stage, the body of a client with many tensions is almost like a stone and a more appropriate approach is necessary…; later on, the treatment can be continued with other easier and more gentle methods

essentially, the work on energetic lines

Mr. Poo teaches about 17 such lines, the movements being very similar to those in the classic Nuad; in his conception (perfectly checked in reality, on me for example), along the life, in the body, there appear all kinds of displacements of the tendons and nerves from their ideal, initial positions; these displacements generate tensions, pains, spasms etc in the body; moreover, above them, the fasces with their protective role get more rigid, becoming very tough.

you simply act intensively on the fasces for “breaking” them and making them flexible again, and after that you pass to replacing the tendons and the nerves in their initial positions; in reality, this means a pain which many time is beyond the limits of endurance …

I didn’t manage to finish the whole lecture with Mr. Poo because of lack of time, but I’m looking forward to continuing it as soon as possible; it’s the style which convinced me most in terms of effectiveness and I’ll go deeper into it till the end…

meanwhile, I got home, in Iasi, for a couple of weeks…lot of work, a cold determined by the sudden change of the climate ….

now I am on my way to Nepal ………

Thai travel diary

so, nobody wants to ask me about my smiling declaration of love …; that’s fine, I keep on saying it early in the morning, with excellent results – peace of mind, good mood, trust in life and in the destiny’s decisions …

on the other hand, one more school I went to, the class for beginners at Sunshine massage school, the only school managed by a Westerner. It is here that one of the few Westerners (maybe the only one) considered to be a master in Nuad, known on his Buddhist name Asokananda, taught. Unfortunately, a few years ago he passed in another dimensions.

the school is nice, more appropriate for Westerners, with a 10 days schedule for beginners. Concerning the movements, these are very close to ITM, with a few characteristics. My instructor was brought up in Bangkok, in an official school, under the patronage of the government. At an official level, according to my instructor’s sayings, they try a synthesizing of knowledge in the field of Nuad and its harmonization with the accomplishments in the Western world. It’s hard to say if it’s good or not, time will decide.

and, not to waste time, today I started to train with Mr. Poo, the guy who “tortured” me most during a massage class. As the saying goes, you have to know the movements of the “enemy” to be able to win… The first day was fine, I sat on my knees directly on the wooden floor, half an hour in the morning and another half in the afternoon, sang Buddhist hymns, learnt how to prepare the lotus flowers for the homage devoted to the Master and other divinities; the thing with the flowers is very scrupulous and takes more than half an hour to fold the lotus petals circularly, in three movements until you get in the middle of the flower…

the idea is that, by analyzing the conformation of the fingers and the toes, you can say quite precisely, what are the problems the respective person is suffering with and how old they are – pains in the back, legs, neck, head, etc.

in the near future I’ll try to summarize some of my conclusions and the feelings related to Nuad, resulted from my experience until now……

Thai travel diary 12

One more week is gone and with it another lecture; I have an impressing collection of diplomas and soon I’ll have a real pile. Now I am a little bit experienced in a kind of special massage. the effects on the health, as I said, are remarkable.

A delicate experience and really hard to accept at the beginning was to serve as model for the practical demonstration during the class. I blushed as fire of course, but I finally had to climb on the table and to expose the sensitive areas to the audience – an extremely hard to bear experience for my own ego. But this is how people calm down their pride and learn to be more humble. it is true that all my colleagues had to do the same, both sexes being represented on the table.

Here I met a Russian instructor, Iuryi, who teaches different techniques in the Tao system. And as my passion for everything which is connected to the Russian space preserved as intense as some years ago, I started intensively speaking Russian with him and also took some Chi Kung and Tai Chi classes. Today I finish a Chi Kung technique, “The iron shirt”, which is quite difficult (my feet are shaking after the class) but very efficient. Tomorrow I start a Tai Chi lecture with him, in the system promoted by master Chia.
I forgot to tell you some things about another expert in Nuad, master Poo. I was given some massage by him as well, and except for the inherent catastrophic pains, I had no regret. Master Poo is able to diagnostic energetic problems after the structure of the fingers and toes, after the manner you raise your hands or move your feet. He can see the energetic lines in the body and identifies the areas where energy is blocked. He acts profoundly upon these areas, especially upon the fasces, linking tissues which often become rigid because of the blockings and do not allow energies to run freely. Moreover he moves back the muscles and the nerves (and even the bones) which changed their place. In my case he moved:

- a muscle with a complicate name from the right haunch;

- a nerve which was moving freely in the area of the cervical spine, as it was out of its place; he put this nerve back at its place with his finger, and especially with his nail.

- the cervical vertebrae 7 and 6 with a few millimeters; he did this only by working on muscles and tendons, with minimum direct interventions upon the spine

well, this is all for now, see you in a while …

Thai travel diary 11

otherwise, everything is fine and interesting, a lot of work here, pain with every step, but the progress can be felt, both as practice and as improvement of my own physical and spiritual condition.

I’ve been here at Tao Garden for 2 weeks now, a beautiful place full of energy. I already studied 2 levels from the abdominal massage, Chi Nei Tsang, with Mantak Chia, the creator of the Universal Tao system. He is a special man and I think he had a great courage when he broke down the wall of the secret around the Taoist system, which had been transmitted until him from master to disciple, in small groups or individually. He made this information public for the occidental world and thus I had access to it. The two weeks confirmed to me what I already understood, that working around the abdominal area is special and the effects, both at the psychic and physical level, are often fascinating. You know our expression about the navel as “the hub of the universe”…; in this case the hub is considered the centre of the whole organism, from it radiate physical and energetic links towards all the parts of our body. Thus, by working in the umbilical area, effects are transmitted wherever necessary; moreover an impressing quantity of emotional stress accumulated in the abdominal area is released; I saw with my eyes people who started crying or laughing hysterically only after a few movements in that area …

a funny confession, but extremely serious – one of the most important things I learnt here is belching; it sounds rude and embarrassing, maybe, but it is very healthy. The practical explanation is that very often, our intestines are overpopulated with intestinal gas which cannot be eliminated; after massaging the abdomen, the respective movements manage to stimulate the gases which start moving throughout the intestines; after this, with some help from the masseur or even by yourself, you can eliminate them on the mouth or on the other end. the result? soft intestines, with plenty of space for the food and more suitable for digestion, less constipation, some signs on the body and on the face (acne, etc) disappear.

today I started a new class, Karsai Nei Tsang, massage of the sexual area; I think for some readers questions will be raised, but I will get back with details in the following diary…; and it is today also that I found out that the state of California, the richest American state, just officially legislated this type of massage, considering it useful for health and not only …

More about ourselves

Author: Sorinel Balan

Every day we meet people who search for their inner peace. Some find it by praying, by following the traditions and teachings they have inherited from their ancestors, and those with special dispositions reach higher levels, cultivating love of God. Some of us choose different spiritual practices to connect to the primordial source. When they are balanced and they feel an improvement of their spirit, as they live the universal harmony inside them, they open their heart flooding with love the souls of those who still search, generating the transformations for a new beginning. Further, each person will cultivate what he received and maybe, one day, gather some fruits. To follow this way, we must be careful and awake.

We must know permanently what happens to us and around us; the body first. Observe in different moments of the day what muscles are unnecessarily strained and try to relax them. Follow your thoughts and emotions, your reactions to other peoples actions. Watch how you breathe and change what you do not like. The moment you will succeed to control the various personal automatisms, you already will be more awake, capable to grow your own qualities and the gifts received directly from God or through people.

There will come a time when you will accomplish your targets, finding opportunities in your daily steps.

Thai travel diary 10

all of a sudden, I was hit by a great appetite for oven baked potatoes …

I’m sooo fed up with their spicy rice and noodles!

some time ago I said I never had such terrible pains like in my first Chi Nei Tsang (abdominal massage) meeting; I struggled on that man’s table for almost an hour; the treatment is not very complicated - he only presses with the fingers and the palm on different points in the abdomen, every point corresponds to an organ, especially glands; the bad thing is that for a man who accumulated lots of tensions in his life (which is my case) the respective points have the hardness of the stone and they are very painfuuuul. The ideal situation would be that of a soft and relaxed abdomen of a baby.

as for effects, I mention from my own experience that they are really remarkable; after the first meeting the energies seemed to flow in my body with the light speed, I felt pulsations and movement in the whole body till the tiptoes; moreover after such a meeting, apart from pains, I was very hungry; pains go very quickly in an hour at most after the massage, in more complicated cases, next day.

this kind of massage is mainly used for “clearing” the energetic lines of the body and for the detoxification of the organs.

among other things, this week I attended several Chi Nei Tsang classes and I’ll go on in the near future with something more complex; I intend to integrate this kind of massage in the Nuad, because in Nuad the positions for the abdomen are only a few.

I also attended the classes of that Nuad school where they were teaching especially about nerves and tendons - Nerve touch massage or Jap Sen ; it’s a combination of classical Nuad movements other specific movements for activating some nerves and detensioning of the tendons; as I told you, it’s an unique sensation to feel somebody tickling your nerves in the knees, elbows, ankles, etc.

Thai travel diary 9

I have quite an unusual schedule for these times, I go to sleep around 10 in the evening and I wake up at around 4 in the morning

I start the day with my favourite meditation – The smiling declaration of love …

what? didn’t I mention anything about it? if you wish, I’ll give you more details about!

this is followed by other tricks done in the dark, then the light comes and I go to study; tomorrow for example is my last day at Tai Chi school, a lecture for the basic movements..., didn't I tell you about Tai Chi either? well, I start forgetting things …

indeed there is something special in this art from our Chinese brothers; it’s not easy, but the movements, when they start to be fluent, you have the impression they turn in an extremely harmonious dance; my intention is to find out something about Qi Gong as well and to integrate it in the Nuad flow, which is still my main passion

as we are talking about Nuad now, I think destiny has been kind with me and sent me to a new master; this is at the other end comparing to Pichest. Firstly because he doesn’t see, he is blind since his birth. Secondly, his method is mostly based on the same principles as the Pichest’s method, but in another style. I could define it as the method of the small and methodical steps – gradually and slowly. I was very happy because I prefer this method.

otherwise, after almost 3 months of intensive practice, I sadly admit that the therapeutic side of Nuad supposes hard physical pains. It’s true that the movements done correctly cause pains which go off very quickly, between a couple of hours and 1-2 days

except for the “tortures” I am put to by my colleagues, I went willingly to a professional “butcher”. The style he practices is a style which focuses a lot on tendons and nerves, similar to the other 2 masters. For almost one hour I’ve been struggling on his table, while he was “caressing” my tendons and he was pinching my nerves (properly speaking). Who’s willing to try it, he can put his name down on my list for when I come back. Do it in advance as it might be busy afterwards. I intend to come back to him the day after tomorrow, maybe I get rid of a pain at a tendon in the sole which has been bothering me for about 3 years

well, the above mentioned pain is nothing comparing to the one I went through during my first Chi Nei Tsang meeting with the same “butcher”. I honestly tell you that never in my life I have been through this kind of physical pains…

the great adventure ... (izismile.com)

Malaysia in short

it sounds pretty interesting, isn’t it? this is only 2 hours distance from Chiang Mai (airplane), so you’re there very quickly

the thing is that Thailand visa system is a little bit tricky and I had to leave the country and then come back in order to get another visa; among Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and the others, Malaysia was the closest and most accessible, as Romanians don’t need visas for this country.

First of all, they have lots of palm trees everywhere, similar to our Christmas trees forests; secondly their capital Kuala Lumpur it’s like an Asian copy of the New York city. All over the center part, called the golden triangle, you can see huge tours, and among them, the two twin tours, as far as I know the tallest in the world (I’m not very sure) .

these twin tours are really impressing, it’s such a shame I lacked the curiosity of climbing up there…, I was very proud to see live the place where Sean Connery played in Entrapment, a movie I liked

all in all I was not too culturally impressed; varied people, mostly Muslims, their shopping centers are crowded and everybody buys a lot…; women respecting the Muslim tradition, some of them covered entirely in black, except for the eyes, others in jeans and only with the head covered; men are not submitted to tradition, they wear either t-shirts or shirts, without any restriction; “poor” them!

anyway some things may have diminished in their moral code as well, because I saw enough of them holding hands; it was very interesting to see a woman dressed completely in black and a guy in casual clothes walking hand in hand …

well, I’ll stop here with my short Malaysian trip, I doubt I’ll repeat it soon … I’ll come back soon with some more Thai …

Thai travel diary 8

first of all, today it’s definitely a rainy day, it’s been raining all the day since morning and it’s evening now…

secondly, I proudly announce you that I can entitle myself official counsellor of the Pichest massage school… well, just a short remark on this, counsellor not on massage topics but on topics regarding musical devices. The master received a nice gift from a client, a new Ipod Touch which he didn’t know how to use. And this is my part, me the counsellor – as I already had such a toy, I was familiar with it, so I take the Ipod and start showing the master the mysteries of the modern technique! Ever since then he has a problem with the thing, he makes a sign to me and I start …

thirdly, Thursday is a very important day for me and I marked it in the calendar. Due to an arrangement done by the destiny, I found myself the only student at school. So I spent one full day with the master, only the both of us alone. In the first part, I practiced different positions on him and he corrected me and explained me the details. It’s useless to tell you that in two hours I was broken, sweated and tired because of the excitement and the tension! In the second part of the day, this is completely special, I was the beneficiary of a more than an hour treatment from his side. I don’t go in further details, but I only tell you that it took him less than one minute to work in one point and a blocking I had on my right hand for almost 10 years disappeared. (I could only raise my hand at my back until the shoulder blade). After he finished, I easily scratched my backhead with that hand ...

fourthly, the ayurvedic treatments I took part in are interesting; for massaging, they fully use the oil and the smoothing movements in the Swedish massage, to which they add some specific movements for the head. A funny detail – their oil is good, natural, but poor me, its flavour smells like that of our pickled cabbage, but of course much weaker; so imagine how relaxed I was for about 40 minutes with the smell of the pickled cabbage in my nose ….

in this clinic, they integrated more modern treatments as well – they do colon cleansing, liver and gall detoxification, detoxifications of the body with ionic foot baths; they also have a kind of interesting sauna – they put you in a wood box and they only leave your head out; they heat the box with steam and you have sauna everywhere, except for the head; wherever the case, they also use ozone in the box in order to help the detoxification and the feeding of the cells with oxygen…; they also have a device for stimulating the lymphatic system – it’s like a kind of drum they put on the zones with lymph nodes and that drum strikes at the regular intervals of time; I don’t know what are its effects, but I know it is very expensive, I read some time ago about this on the internet …

see you in a while …

Aura Soma 6

so this is the time of the final posting regarding aura soma, at least for now

Quintessences

these are more special substances and they work with the Masters’ subtle energies, invoking their support; each of the 15 bottles represents a certain master and, by using it, qualities and experiences specific to that Master are brought into the subtle plan of the human being

for example, Lady Nada (pale pink) invokes unconditional love, helping to eliminate the negative energies or Lady Portia (golden) is meant to those who are too severe with themselves, helping them to better understand and to accept themselves

the working mode is the same as for the Pomanders, application on certain parts of the body and making specific movements

Among the secondary products we mention:

Air Conditioners – spray that pulverizes colours in the air; personally, I often used such a spray for aura purification with great results
Watersticks – a kind of glass tubes coloured inside; they help for purifying and charging the water
Essences: Archangeloi, Butterfly, Colour – essences for working with the Archangels, the butterflies’ spirit or colours

Cosmetic, Beauty and Bath products – different cosmetic products, creams, balsams etc.

For additional information I recommend two web address:

Aura Soma 5

Pomanders

they work at the level of the electromagnetic field (aura) that surrounds the physical body having the role of protecting, cleaning and strengthening the aura

the content of the bottles is a combination of 49 extracts of plants and essential oils

each bottle contains seven herbal extracts corresponding to each of the 7 chakras and one of the herbs is predominant in order to resonate with a specific chakra

one of the bottles is white, it contains seven extracts in equal proportions, thus being achieved an equilibrium

the substances are used by applying them on the body, usually around the wrists, and by inhaling the scent they emanate (a very pleasant scent, I assure you); all this is accompanied by specific movements and certain invocations ...

Thai travel diary 7

hi there,

I'm fine, thank you and I have some more things to share with you:

an old temple is always attractive - architecture, interesting sculptures, atmosphere; around the temple, the monks may often arrange a sort of garden - trees, flowers, plaster statues with all kinds of traditional animals, symbolizing the harmony between man and nature

a few days ago I had to wonder seriously - in their forests long time ago, did the Disney Donald duck use to walk round there? I was wondering this because among elephants, monkeys, tigers and so on a huge Donald, the character from the cartoons of my childhood, was dominating the garden of the temple … what a winner this American guy!

a very usual phenomenon in their society and regarded as something normal (even if people always make fun of ) is the presence of the so-called "lady-boy"s and more seldom, the "boy lady"s; the first are feminine men who make all the efforts to look like women - make up, depilation, attitude, hairdo, clothes, sex changes (not for the poor guys) ; at a certain extent, I guarantee that they are difficult to distinguish - last week I was in a kind of mini-bus of theirs when a person stepped in; at a first sight it seemed to be a young thin lady; it took me a couple of minutes of discrete examination to realize that in fact she was a transformed "he"; the other category of masculine women is less common; I met such a woman-male and I only found out after a while from other guys that in fact he was a "she"; it's true her voice was quite thin but this is not unusual for Thai men

otherwise, I had my first contact with the Indian ayurvedic medicine; there is a good clinic here in Chang Mai, run by an experienced lady who also brought something from the modern non-conventional techniques - ozone, colon detoxification etc  to the existing traditional methods …

Aura Soma 4

but nobody says anything about aura soma anymore? that’s not possible I’ll write something … I volunteer!

a little bit more about Equilibrium Bottles:

- each bottle has a precise meaning saying something about the personality of the one who chose it, problems that he/she might have or what he/she could do about that

- there are also a few mini-sets among them, as for example the one for chakras, one for the Archangels or another one for help in different situations (physical or psychical trauma)

- most of the bottles are related to a Tarot card and/or to one of those Chinese techniques that looks like Tarot, but I don’t remember its name right now
- there are two ways of using the bottles: they can be contemplated in meditation or their substance can be applied on different parts of the body; usually, for the second way, there are precise instructions for where and how it should be applied on the body

- for their use on the body, the bottles are held in a specific way and they are strongly stirred up so that its two parts – watery and oily – should be homogenized

- as soon as they are stirred up the bottles enter in a subtle contact with the person who uses them and become personalized; they can no longer be used by another person
… should I write some more? no, I’ll stop here. stop!

Thai travel diary 5

so, the week that just finished was like this: Monday, a great day, I started some new classes with another instructor about whom I heard even since last year; his school is out of town, in a village, in his own courtyard

on Tuesday I achieved a wonderful communion with the cat’s breed – while I was watching the exemplifications I stepped on the instructor’s cat! and the cat jumped full of enthusiasm and bit me in the leg; the end is a little bit more romantic – I scratch her quietly and she purrs happy

on Friday, commando, Rambo is far from this – I went to the dentist, they asked me to sit on the chair and just like that they cut the gum at my wisdom tooth; that’s not very nice but this happens when there are small holes where they shouldn’t be; anyway, the guys are very good in this, they have clinics and equipment of high quality and their doctors are unreal, smiling, serene and very skilled; not to mention that 90% of the patients of the clinic I went to were Westerners; they prefer coming to Thailand to sort out stomatologic issues – what they get is good treatments and an exotic trip and the price is smaller than what they would pay in their own country

well, I go back to the main point – Nuad classes they say here (and I do completely agree to this by now) that Pichest (the name of the instructor) is one of the few real masters alive who still teach the art of Nuad in this part of the country he is not a very comfortable person, on the contrary, he has a non commun behavior for our European logic; his school has no structure, not a curricula, no assistant to explain or to show you, nothing – you just come there, whether you know something or not, this doesn’t matter

after the morning prayer (almost double comparing to the one at ITM), Pichest speaks on different themes regarding massage and spirituality, and after that he chooses intuitively, and never accidentally, somebody among the students and starts exemplifying – where are the problems and how you should work on them

I can say he is a perfect therapist; he looks at you and reads the map of you body in only a few seconds; in less than a minute he knows already where the blockings are, how deep and how old; he can often say where they trace back

his fundamental lesson is “FEEL” – connect to the other and feel him, pay attention to all the signs his body transmits, let your intuition work and you’ll know what you have to do…

Aura Soma 3

Now we’ll talk about Aura soma and its main components: Equilibrium Bottles, Quintessences and Pomanders.

Nowadays we have 106 bottles and as you could see in the pictures they seem to be divided in two. This is where the term “Equilibrium” comes from because the two parts are in a perfect equilibrium. The upper part is an oily component obtained from plants volatile oils, and the bottom one is a watery component obtained from the so-called watery parts of the plants. The manufacturing methods of these liquids in Aura soma are very complex. For growing the plants they use a method initiated by Rudolf Steiner, the so-called biodynamic agriculture, and for picking the plants they use the so-called signs, so that the plants are picked according to the signs, the signals they transmit in certain moments of the year and in certain moments of the day or of the night. Also, the substances obtained in this process are submitted to certain energizing processes by using crystals or ancient energizing techniques as for example Kabbala.

When the bottles are characterized in Aura soma we are told about a so-called Trinity. We find in them the energy of the vegetable kingdom (plants, herbs), the energy of the mineral kingdom (crystals) and the energy of the colors (what we see with our eyes – those colors that delight us). The bottles are in close connection with our soul, so they are intended for the human soul and they are sending messages towards it. The upper part of the bottles represents the human conscious mind and the bottom represents the human unconscious mind.

To better understand the message of the bottles we only have to choose them. How to do that? Quite easy: the respective person looks at the bottles in a relaxation state of mind, focusing a point somewhere above the navel, and chooses one of the bottles relying on intuition, on what the soul whispers, and not on reason. That bottle is put aside and the looker spontaneously chooses a second bottle and then a third and finally a fourth bottle. The most important thing is that these bottles should be chosen with the soul, so what we like, what attracts us from the multitude of colors displayed before our eyes.

The meaning of our choices, well, we’ll have to wait a little…

Thai travel diary 4

dear readers,

the 4th part has nothing special, so that …… some of their cultural rules:

- it’s insulting for a Thai person to sit down with your legs oriented towards him/her

- you never get in a house or private room with your shoes on; also, some objects as for example the umbrellas are left at the entrance door

- sitting with your bottom on a pillow is not polite

- if you step on a book it’s considered an offence for the teacher (when attending a class etc)

- it is very rude not to answer to an “wai” (a greeting with the hands in different positions- heart, mouth, eyes, forehead)

well, I don’t know whether I told you or not but they bring you spoon and fork with every dish you order; it is interesting and very practical to use them both; I began to get used to their hot spices, maybe one day I’ll like them; anyway, on such hot days they are definitely good for digestion

very much like in our country, the master-less “pedigreed” dogs are a familiar appearance on every corner of a street; the funny thing is that, because of the heat, they are so “fresh” that they can hardly jump on you or bark at you; generally, you really have to provoke them to get a move from ....

the “good” news is that the last days it has been raining all the time, hard to walk, favorable for meditation (or simply sitting doing nothing)

I noticed today that their Buddhist monks are very funny, full of mobile phones ringing all the time, very much like our monks; I had a nice talk with one them who came from Korea for a kind of master’s degree in Buddhism; this is how I found out that in his country there are 5 languages/dialects and that they can hardly understand each other if they don’t speak the same language; now I cannot guarantee the accuracy of this information because our communication language was a kind of thai-english J

I made a couple of tests with my mini video camera; I’m a disastrous cameraman, but I’ll post some videos on the site these days.

everything is fine at the school (ITM); now I really understood completely level 4 and I will be able to apply correctly their points; at least those for headaches and backaches, they are great

I got used again to giving suggestions and advices in other foreign languages, especially English as I had forgotten the basic massage words; there are many people, many of them willing to become masters in just a few days, but it’s fine – things are moving on!

yes, and after 10 months of staying dry in our poor city with no real swimming pool, I swam again here; I’m not a professional in this, I learnt it myself and not very good, but it is very nice – with the head in the water (I have swimming glasses) and moving the arms very slowly the sensation is quite deep, I really empty my head of all the thoughts and I vaguely feel a kind of approaching to the water

that’s all for now …

Aura Soma 1

(two years ago I had a Level I course near London about Aura Soma and I was deeply impressed by ...)

The creator of this technique is Vicky Wall (1918-1991); not at all accidentally, her father was the 7th child of his family and she also was the 7th child of her family. In the Hebrew tradition there are some mystic aspects which I don’t know very well regarding the “7th child”. Her father was member of a religious group involved in studying the mystic aspects of the Bible. He was also a master of Kabbalah and Zohar.

Vicky worked as a chiropractor in London and when she reached her maturity she lost sight. Following a dream of divine inspiration, according to her, she was told the secrets of the bottles and was advised to bring them into the light. The bottles received the name Equilibrium Bottles. From the 106 bottles we have now, the first 43 were created by Vicky herself. She passed the secrets of the bottles’ creation to Mike Booth, one of her disciples meant to continue her work. He is currently the spiritual leader of this movement that traces back in England.

The bottles are fascinating and their structure is very complex. But what’s next, in a future continuation ………………………….

Thai travel diary 3

I’m ................... because of the heat here!

all in all, life’s interesting, I took part in the students’ trainings at ITM and also gave a helping hand when needed; they have enough students for this time of the year, especially that the number of the Westerners decreased considerably; I think I told you before that most of students come out of curiosity to see what the Thai massage is about ...

yesterday I went to a treatment at SPA Mantra (this belongs to the ITM, too) – I tried a combination of "Hot stones massage", that stuff with hot stones and brown rice and jasmine compresses. Their methods are interesting and the guys there really do their best to make you feel good; I hope to learn some tricks from them ...

otherwise, I’m having headaches trying to learn their language, they have five types of tones/ways of pronouncing a word and if you make a mistake in the tone, you loose the meaning of the word you intended to say; I’m lucky they are polite and they praise me for my performances, but this only after I translate into English what I wanted to say in Thai J

now I just came back from their week-end market, I bought some clothes, they are very cheap, but after the first wash they get small enough to fit a kid size; a very interesting scenery there, a mixture of food, clothes, bedclothes, ornamental objects etc; besides all these lots of singers, among them the very well-known “blind people” rolling their eyes; of course they have special rates for foreigners – bigger I mean – and they are always trying, with a smile on the face, to cheat on you a bit …

I finally remembered that I have with me a small video camera , so I’ll take it with me from now on to do some videos, to see if it is worthy

keep in touch ...

Thai travel diary 2

as I said, everything is fine…

to the honor of my arriving here, I slept for about 12 hours; there are also 4 hours difference between us, so I'm still getting used to this

the city – so noisy that it gives you headaches, pedestrian crossings here and there - meaning you orientate yourself when you want to cross, high levels of pollution

their common vehicle is the two-wheeled rattle thing – the scooter, everybody owns one...

the second important car - the three-wheeled rattle thing “tuk-tuk”, a kind of covered motorcycle used as a taxi; it moves slowly, it smokes and it is so noisy that you can hardly understand the driver, but it is cheap

in exchange, fruits are so delicious that you want more - mouth-watering and genuine, the local ones, because they also have import fruits

food – today I had chicken with pineapple and rice, the never-failing rice; I’m not too keen on their food, last year when I got home, I stopped eating rice for about half an year, but here the rice is like our potatos

I took part in some massage classes at school (ITM), my first contact with them, since last summer; I’m looking forward to what’s next

bye for now and see you in a while ...

Thai travel diary 1

well, I’m still on my way there, just had a poor pizza in the Frankfurt airport and now I’m waiting for the plane to Bangkok; there will be 10 hours sitting in that plane and afterwards another plane to Chiang Mai; so lots of fun until tomorrow evening …

will follow a couple of months in Thailand and hopefully a deeper knowledge of the art that fascinated me, Nuad Bo Rarn (Thai massage). Heat, rain, trainings, that is all the stuff …

see you again in a couple of days, after I get over the shock of the almost 40o C at the destination!

Nuad Bo Rarn

It's the traditional name for what is known as Thai Massage.

I'm passionate about this art, which is, in its essence, a true spiritual way...

So that, I'm now again in Thailand hoping that I'll go deeper with the Nuad ...

Winners versus Losers

The Winner is always a part of the answer;
The Loser is always a part of the problem.

The Winner always has a program;
The Loser always has an excuse.

The Winner says, "Let me do it for you;"
The Loser says, "That's not my job."

The Winner sees an answer for every problem;
The Loser sees a problem in every answer.

The Winner says, "It may be difficult but it's possible;"
The Loser says, "It may be possible but it's too difficult."

earthquake experience

I had last evening a not so exciting experience with a short earthquake , while reading something at home.

The feeling is so strange - the ground dancing under your feet, you runing at maximum speed outside ...

Well, the Earth is really powerfull and we are ...hmmm...not so....
