Thai travel diary 9

I have quite an unusual schedule for these times, I go to sleep around 10 in the evening and I wake up at around 4 in the morning

I start the day with my favourite meditation – The smiling declaration of love …

what? didn’t I mention anything about it? if you wish, I’ll give you more details about!

this is followed by other tricks done in the dark, then the light comes and I go to study; tomorrow for example is my last day at Tai Chi school, a lecture for the basic movements..., didn't I tell you about Tai Chi either? well, I start forgetting things …

indeed there is something special in this art from our Chinese brothers; it’s not easy, but the movements, when they start to be fluent, you have the impression they turn in an extremely harmonious dance; my intention is to find out something about Qi Gong as well and to integrate it in the Nuad flow, which is still my main passion

as we are talking about Nuad now, I think destiny has been kind with me and sent me to a new master; this is at the other end comparing to Pichest. Firstly because he doesn’t see, he is blind since his birth. Secondly, his method is mostly based on the same principles as the Pichest’s method, but in another style. I could define it as the method of the small and methodical steps – gradually and slowly. I was very happy because I prefer this method.

otherwise, after almost 3 months of intensive practice, I sadly admit that the therapeutic side of Nuad supposes hard physical pains. It’s true that the movements done correctly cause pains which go off very quickly, between a couple of hours and 1-2 days

except for the “tortures” I am put to by my colleagues, I went willingly to a professional “butcher”. The style he practices is a style which focuses a lot on tendons and nerves, similar to the other 2 masters. For almost one hour I’ve been struggling on his table, while he was “caressing” my tendons and he was pinching my nerves (properly speaking). Who’s willing to try it, he can put his name down on my list for when I come back. Do it in advance as it might be busy afterwards. I intend to come back to him the day after tomorrow, maybe I get rid of a pain at a tendon in the sole which has been bothering me for about 3 years

well, the above mentioned pain is nothing comparing to the one I went through during my first Chi Nei Tsang meeting with the same “butcher”. I honestly tell you that never in my life I have been through this kind of physical pains…
